Desert Stars provides professional co-hosting for short-term rentals. We emphasize a great guest experience becuase it yields the best financial results, and because it makes us feel good about our work. For our clients, we take care of everything. We have a trusted cleaning crew and a wide network of local professionals to take care of most maintenance and repair.

Qualifications

I am a long-time SuperHost, familiar with all the factors driving booking quality and rates, including dynamic pricing, listing optimization, effective photography, and Airbnb's interest algorithm.

Results of our Work

As an example of the results of our work, the graph below shows a property we took on in mid-February 2024.

• The owners were losing money every month and were wondering whether to sell.
• Starting in March, we were able to completely fill that month's calendar and all subsequent months
• By early June 2024, when this first snapshot was taken, their revenue had increased 700% from February to April
• The difficult summer months already had a healthy amount of early bookings.
• They are no longer losing money, now they have a stable and healthy business.

The property continued to perform through the slow summer and into fall and winter, as this updated graph shows.

Co-Hosting Pricing

In our service area of Joshua Tree, Twentynine Palms, and Yucca Valley, we charge from 20% - 30% of income for full-service co-hosting (all the services listed above). We don't charge commission on cleaning fees.

If you're outside the area, we can provide virtual services to fill up your calendar and maximize revenue at a much lower fee, while you take care of cleaning and guest communications.
